I love Freecycle

Hey Friends!

Hope you guys have had a great weekend! We had another stellar one! On Friday night we celebrated the Hubs' Birthday (and our BFF's Bday too) with friends and then Saturday, we went to an Engagement Party for our dear friends, Marcus and Heather. We are so very lucky to live close to family and friends.

This afternoon, we went and picked up this little girl. I have been searching and searching for a small little desk to use as a sewing/craft table, so when I found this one on FreeCycle, I immediately jumped on it.

It definitely needs some cleaning and work... but I can definitely see the potential here.

Have you guys heard or used FreeCycle before? Its a really cool concept where you can post items you have that you are willing to give away, and in turn get some cool items from others... FOR FREE!

So - what do you think I should do to her? I know I want to paint her - I just don't know what color or how I want to do it. She will be going in the office between the two antique doors turned cabinets.

Stay tuned - I should have an update next week!

Do you have a project you are working on? Anything you want to share? Email me at and let me know!

Looking forward to hearing your thoughts! Talk soon, friends!

Desk looks super - what a great find!

I don't know if you have heard of but they have a similar agenda to Freecycle (i.e. reuse / keep good stuff out of landfill) and everyuthing they list is totally free too - worth a look: if you are interested.

Thanks, Austen! I didn't know about EcoBees. I will have to check that one out! said...

Hi Brandi,

Great job! Don't you just love that feeling of finding free stuff AND seeing how happy someone is to give their things away and help the environment?

I just moved and furnished almost my entire apartment for free.

I did it by using this website that I just launched nationwide yesterday:

Can you please check it out? I'd love if you would write a review (positive or negative) once you do!
